Engine failure off Anticosti Islands

The Annette Essberger" suffered an engine failure and had to stop in the Gulf of St. Lawrence off Anticosti Islands, Quebec, in position 49 12 18 N, 63 40 00 W, on March 25, 2019, at 10 a.m. The crew carried out repairs while the vessel was drifting, and the vessel subsequently resumed its voyage to Montreal with an ETA as of March 27 at 3 a.m.

Engine faulure off Spurn Point

The "Annette Essberger", with a crew of 15 on board, suffered an engine failure in position 53 32.30 N, 000 17.20 E, six nautical miles east of Spurn Point, on Feb 8, 2019. The owner company has ordered the tug "Svitzer Laura" to assist only for berthing. The vessel was carrying 5,400 metric tonnes of mthanol. The crew identified the problem to be a faulty defector. The vessel has finished repairs and returned to normal operations. It was underway from Immingham to Kingston upon Hull where it berthed at 10 p.m
