Former Anja to leave Wewelsfleth after years of lay up

Thu Apr 13 10:07:53 CEST 2017 Timsen

The "Anja" has been renamed "Maya S" after two years of lay up in Wewelsfleth after having been sold to the Romanian United Marine Compea. New homeport will be Giurgiulesti. The Peters Yard had done some maintenance work during the recent days, actually the engines were being tested by the crew. The vessel had berthed in 2014 after the allision with a mooring in the Elbe port Bützfleth. The MS „Anja“ Schifffahrtsgesellschaft mbH & Co. Reederei KG then filed for insolvency, and the ship went under the custody of an administrator appointed by the District Court. His efforts to find a buyer have now been a success.
