Ferry suffered mechanical problem
The 'Ali Cat' suffered a technical issue on July 22, 2021. The srvicce had to be suspended. A shuttle bus service was operating from from Gourock to McInroy's Point (Western Ferries) and from Dunoon to Hunter's Quay. The issue was resolved, and the ship resumed its service at 09.20a.m. from Gourock and at 09.50 a.m. from Dunoon.
Sailings cancelled due to technical issue
Morning commuters to Inverclyde were hit by a service cancellation by Argyll Ferries on May 23, 2016. The "Ali Cat" — the only vessel currently available due to re-fit work on the sister boat "Argyll Flyer" — suffered a technical issue which meant passengers had to board a replacement bus and travel via Western Ferries — delaying their onward journeys. The vessel resumed operations later in the morning.
