Trawler ran aground near Aurstad
The "Albacore" ran aground near Aurstad in the Austefjord in Sunnmøre on May 29, 2018, at 3.30 a.m. Emergency services and the lifeboat "Idar Ulstein" were on their way at 6.30 a.m. to assist the crew of five. The trawler was fishing for horse mackerel and sailing at two knots when it got stuck about 6-7 meters from the shore and was listing to port. It managed to get off the rocks without assistance at 8.50 a.m. The police was brought on board with the lifeboat for investigations. An ambulance flight took divers to the scene. Lifeboat crew cleared fouled propeller
The "Albacore" on Dec 3, 2014, at 6.30 a.m. lost steering west of Bulandet after the propeller was fouled and was taken in tow by the lifeboat "Halfdan Grieg" north of Værlandet in the Askvoll municipality.
