Alasco kept from sinking
In the afternoon of Apr 30, 2012, the "Alasco" had to be kept from sinking by the fire brigade Cuxhaven . The ship was coming from Brunsbüttel and had suffered water ingress on the Elbe. After having entered the Sea Lock of Cuxhaven bound for the New Fishing Port, the "Alasco“ started to sink by the bow. The fire brigade dewatered the foreship with two submersible pumps and stabilized the ship so far that it could enter a nearby yard. http://www.cn-online.de/lokales/news/in-der-schleuse-in-seenot.html
