Thu Apr 02 19:14:53 CEST 2020 Timsen

EOn April 1, 2020, at 2.30 p.m. the 'Alasco', 1895 ts (EU-No.: 04700180;), enroute from Kiel to Cuxhaven, ran aground on the Elbe at the conjunction with the Rogätzer Canal at river km 354,2 outside the fairway. After the icebreaker 'Stier' failed to refloat the barge, the tug 'Aland' and the dredger barge 'Status Quo II' of the maritime authority Tangermünde were called to assist. The Elbe was barred for passing ship traffic during the salvage work. A part of the cargo of gravel was lightered onto the 'Status Quo II'. On April 2 aat 3.30 p.m. After the barge was pulled off, it was towed to Niegripp where the cargo was loaded back on board. The police launched an investigation. Alasco kept from sinking

Thu May 03 08:52:43 CEST 2012 Timsen

In the afternoon of Apr 30, 2012, the "Alasco" had to be kept from sinking by the fire brigade Cuxhaven . The ship was coming from Brunsbüttel and had suffered water ingress on the Elbe. After having entered the Sea Lock of Cuxhaven bound for the New Fishing Port, the "Alasco“ started to sink by the bow. The fire brigade dewatered the foreship with two submersible pumps and stabilized the ship so far that it could enter a nearby yard. http://www.cn-online.de/lokales/news/in-der-schleuse-in-seenot.html
