Hatch cover damage at Skulte
On Feb 26, 2018, at 7.10 p.m. the "Aland", bound from Skulte for Karlshamn, sustained damage to its hatch covers at Skulte Rod eyes of PS & SB crocoarms driving hydraulic cylinders were broken in the way of their pins; axes of PS & SB support rollers of cover pontoon P24 (third from aft) torn off cover structure; welding seams broken; limit switch of PS crocoarm bent; rod of PS crocoarm hydraulic cylinders slightly scratched due to contact with pin; PS crocoarm support frame cracked. Temporary repairs were effected and were to be completed after discharging. The ship left Skulte on March 1 at 9.15 p.m. bound to Karlshamn, ETA March 3, 10 a.m.
