Collision in Suda Bay

Mon May 21 14:18:17 CEST 2018 Timsen

The "Kithnos" was in collision with the tug "Christos XXV" while mooring at Suda Bay in the evening of May 18, 2018. Both vessels sustained minor damages. The "Christos XXV" was remaining at Suda Bay after the accident. The Port Authority of Chania, which carried out a preliminary investigation, banned the two vessels from sailing, until the damage was repaired and a certificate of seaworthiness was issued. On May 20 at 5 p.m. the "Kithnos" sailed for Eleusis port, where it remained for repairs until June 5.
