Medco aquires new heavy duty suction dredger

Middle East Dredging Company (Medco), a joint venture of United Development Company, Qatar Holding and Belgian DEME, has acquired a heavy duty suction dredger, Gulf Times reports. The new vessel, called Al Jarraf, will provide Medco with a “powerful, competitive” tool for future projects across the Gulf and beyond. The Al Jarraf has been successfully tested, commissioned and handed over and the vessel is now ready to be mobilised globally to any future dredging projects, Medco said.
