Stowaways taken from board in Brunsbüttel

Thu Jan 09 17:02:34 CET 2014 Timsen

The owners of the "Vibora" informed the police in Brunsbüttel that two stowaways were aboard the ship which was underway from Pointe Noire via Leon Y Castillo to Liepaja. The crew had remarked the two men underway. The police boarded the ship in the Brunsbüttel locks on Jan 9, 2014, at 3.30 a.m. and requested personal documents which the man did not have. They were taken ashore. The ship continued its eastbound voyage at 4.40 a.m. Investigations found that a Congolese of 25 years and a 23 year old man from Gabun had boarded the ship separately in Gabun start of December. Three weeks later they were found by the crew.
