Passenger collapsed on board and died

The Port Authority of Kavala was informed in the morning hours of Aug 1, 2022, that during the scheduled route of the "Agios Panteleimon' rom Prinos Thassos to the port of Kavala, a 73-year-old passenger lost consciousness aboard the ship. The woman was given first aid by the crew and by a private doctor on board, while the ferry continued to sail to the port of Kavala. The patient was picked up by an ambulance and transported to the General Hospital of Kavala, where her death was confirmed. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Central Port Authority of Kavala.

Engine failure in Prinos Thassou

In the morning of June 11, 2019, the Port Authorities of Kavala and Thassos were informed by the captain of the"Agios Panteleimon" that during the departure from the port of Prinos Thassou, with 20 passengers on board the port side main engine failed. The Port Department of Thassos at the Central Port Authority of Kavala detained the ship until repairs were carried out and the class maintenance was confirmed by the classification society. The suip left port at 4.15 p.m. bound to Kavala.

Ferry suffered ramp damage

The Port Authority of Thassos was informed by the captain of the "Agios Panteleimon" on Sep 13, 2018, at midday, that during the ship's departure from the port of Prinos to the port of Kavala the ship sufered a damage to the ramp. The passengers and vehicles were safely disembarked, while the Thassos Port Authority detained the ship until the damage was repaired and the class certificate was presented by the attending classification society.
