Afalina lost deck cargo in storm

Tue Feb 02 10:13:10 CET 2016 Timsen

The "Afalina" lost about 300-500 cubic meters wood from the main deck on Jan 30, 2016, near the Latvian coast in rough weather. The vessel was underway from Ventspils to Rostock, and was caught in a storm. It was expected the drifting wood would be washed onto the Latvian coast within the forthcoming 3-4 days. The "Afalina" berthed in Rostock on Feb 1 at 6.15 a.m. and continued to Parnu on Feb 2. Report with photos: http://www.lsm.lv/en/article/societ/society/ship-loses-timber-cargo-in-baltic-sea.a166931/
