Trawler aground off Sagdtorgholmen

The "Aege" ran aground in the afternoon of Mar 11, 2016, off Sandtorgholmen in Tjeldsund. The ship got caught by strong currents, crashed into a pier and ended up on the shore at 4.55 p.m. The crew of five remained uninjured. The police Hålogaland and emergency Services were summoned. The Coast Guard ship "Senja" was dispatched to assists, and also the lifeboats "Kjøpstad" and "Dagfinn Paust" were underway to the grounding site. The trawler had sailed from Bodoe in the evening of Mar 9. Sfter having been refloated, the ship berthed in Rost in the evening of Mar 12 and proceeded to Bodoe in the evening of Mar 13 .
