Search for missing crew member suspended
On Aug 12 the Coast Guard has suspended the search for a missing crew member of the "Ibrahim Dede" between Bayonne, New Jersey, and Ocean City, Maryland. The crew member was last reported aboard after departing Bayonne, New Jersey. The crew discovered the man was missing while the ship was in transit to its next port. A Coast Guard Station New York 45-Foot Response Boat crew, a Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City H-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and an Air Station Elizabeth City C-130 Hercules airplane crew searched for the crew member from 4:30 p.m. on Aug 11 to 3:30 p.m. on Aug 12. They covered the areas along the coast from Bayonne to Ocean City. Coast Guard crews also searched farther north up to New York Harbor and farther south to Chincoteague, Virginia. The freighter Ibrahim continued to Norfolk International Terminal where the ship meanwhile has docked.

On aug 11, 2015, the US Coast Guard was searching for a missing crew member of the Ibrahim Dede" between Bayonne y and Ocean City, Maryland, after the Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads received notification at approximately 4:30 p.m. from the vessel of a missing crew member. The crew member was last reported on board after departing Bayonne. The crew discovered the man was missing while the ship was in transit to its next port. A Coast Guard Station New York 45-foot response boat, a Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew and an Air Station Elizabeth City C-130 Hercules airplane crew have all launched in response to aid the search. The "Ibrahim Dede" was continuing to Norfolk International Terminal to dock.
