Disabled passenger ship towed to Nordstrand
On June 2, 2019, at 5.50 p.m. the "Adler V", being on a trip with 100 charter guests on board, suffered engine failure in the Norderhever Fairway south of Pellworm island. As the damage was beyond repair means by the crew the captain alerted the MRCC in Bremen which deployed the lifeboat "Eiswette" of the DGzRS station Nordstrand which was on scene 30 miinutes later and took the casualty alongside. It was then pulled into the port of Strucklahnungshörn upon Nordstrand. 1,5 hours later than scheduled the passengers were disemarbarked. On scene was wind force 2 and good visibility. Passenger ship disabled off Nordstrand
The lifeboat "Eiswette" of the DGzRS-Station Nordstrand was alerted on Aug 29, 2014, after the "Adler V" had encountered technical trouble at buoy NH 16 around 1 p.m. in the Norderhever between Nordstrand and Pellworm island. On board were 99 passengers and a crew of four. Half an hour later the lifeboat went alongside and towed the ship to the port of Nordstrand where it was safely moored at 2.15 p.m.
