Warm welcome for released sailors
The 23 crew members of the 'Abdullah' met their families on the afternoon of May 14 as the vessel reached the Chattogram Port. The crew members received a warm welcome when the vessel 'Jahan Moni-3', carrying them from Kutubdia in Cox's Bazar, reached New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT)-1. The crew members will go to their respective homes. Care was taken to send them to their destinations safely. New crew members took charge of the 'Abdullah' on May 14 and sailed for the United Arab Emirates. 23 captured sailors returned to their families
After the 'Abdullah has finally arrived in Kutubdia on May 13 at 6.40 p.m., the 23 sailors on board have returned to their relatives. On May 14, a lighter ship was brought to the KSRM Lighter Jetty Sadarghat. From here they returned to their respective homes. Released bulk carrier arrived in Kutubdia
The 'Abdullah', which was freed by Somali pirates on April 14, reaches Cox's Bazar's Kutubdia on the evening of May 13 with 23 crew members on board. It had entered Bangladeshi territory on May 12. The crew will be brought to the KSRM lighter jetty by a lighter ship on May 14. There their family members will welcome them. Then they will go to their respective homes. After loading 56,000 tons of limestone, the vessel departed from the port of Mina Saqr on April 30, it went to a nearby port for taking fuel before heading for Chattogram.
