Collision off Skagen

Wed Jun 19 10:43:14 CEST 2019 Timsen

On June 18, 2019, at 9.15 p.m. the "Mazoswze" (IMO: 9386914), enroute from St. Petersburg to Ghent, was in collision with the fishing vessel "K. Larsen - FN 326" north of Skagen. Both ships dropped anchor at the incident site. The bulkcarrier was detained by the Danish Maritime Authority, and the police boarded the ship for investigations. The Skagen Rescue Station was alerted to take the officers out for this purpose. After it turned out that both ships could continue their voyages with own power, the lifeboat was released on June 19 at 1 a.m. The fishing vessel entered the port of Strandby at 1.30 a.m. The "Mazowsze" remained at anchor in pos. 57° 43.83' N 010° 19.63' E as of June 19. The bulkcarrier finally berthed in Ghen on June 22. She sailed again on June 27, headed to Kotka, where she arrived on July 9 at 2 a.m. and proceeded to Coatzacoalcos on July 12, ETA Aug 5. The "K. Larsen" left Strandby again after repairs on July 15.
