Thu Aug 23 21:58:13 CEST 2018 arnekiel

China’s Sinopec Corp has teamed with Zhejiang Energy Group Co Ltd on a 3 million tonne-per-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in east China, with the first phase set for operation at end-2021, the state oil giant said on Wednesday. The project, to be built in Wenzhou of Zhejiang province, includes four tanks each able to store 200,000 cubic metres of LNG, a berth to dock tankers of 30,000 cubic metres to 266,000 cubic meters, as well as a 26-km (16-mile) pipeline. The two companies launched on Monday new entity Zhejiang Zheneng Wenzhou LNG Co Ltd that is 51 percent owned by the Zhejiang group, 41 percent by Sinopec and 8 percent by a local investment firm, said a Sinopec press official.

Wenzhou to expand port area

Wed Dec 31 08:56:30 CET 2014 arnekiel

Shanghai: Wenzhou Port has won approval from authorities to develop a new port area in Leqing. The planned port area will occupy an area of 111.2 sq km. Phase one will add seven terminals with 43 berths. The designed annual cargo capacity of the new port area is 82m tonnes. Wenzhou Port has already invested RMB3bn ($483.8m) to develop the project and will invest another RMB3bn in 2015. “The new port area will ease the congestion pressure on the westbound shipping channel and greatly improve the operating efficiency of Wenzhou Port,” said an official from Wenzhou Port.
