The largest commercial ship ever to visit the Port of Pensacola arrived late Monday to undergo maintenance for eight to 10 days. Port of Pensacola to ship 300 wind turbines to Brazil
After years of efforts, the Port of Pensacola has won a contract to ship to Brazil wind turbines assembled locally at the GE Wind Energy plant on Scenic Highway. Port Director Clyde Mathis said the deal to export up to 300 nacelles is not a fixed contract but will generate about $300,000 in revenue for the city-owned facility.
