Port Restrictions at Port of Bejaia
Skuld advises its Members that at present Port restrictions have been put in place at the Port of Bejaia, Algeria. Specifically the Association understands that the following restrictions are in place: 185 meters for bulkers, and 140 meters with a draft of 09 meters for cargo vessels. Members are advised that in case they are planning on fixing to Bejaia, to first check with local Shipping Agents, the precise permissible dimensions allowed at that time. It may also be worth considering a liberty to divert in the fixture in case Bejaia becomes unreachable. For Members with vessels under way, and uncertain as to whether their vessel may exceed the restrictions, we would recommend that the appropriate Business Unit is contacted as a precaution.
