Bredo Yard chosen for repairs
The "Telamon" following the collision with the ferry "Nordenham" and the Luxembourg flagged dredger „Taccola" (IMO-No.: 9280213), sailed from the Strom Quay in Bremerhaven on Nov 26 at 11 p.m. and docked at the Bredo Yard Bremerhaven for repairs about one hour later.
One ship at the quay, one repaired and one back to work after collision
The "Telamon" following the collisions with the ferry "Nordenham" and subsequently the Luxembourg flagged dredger „Taccola" (IMO-No.: 9280213), which became hit when the cargo vessel was trying to anchor on Blexen roads after the first accident, remained berthed at the Strom Quay in Bremen where it docked on Nov 25 at 9.30 p.m. The "Telamon" which was loaded with wind turbine components bound for Brake suffered damage to hull and superstructure. The Weser-ferry "Nordenham", 772 gt (built 1957), was repaired at the Bredo Yard until Nov 26 when it returned to service. The 56-m-ferry had suffered a dented bulwark and damaged mooring bollards. As the damage caused was, however, larger than expected first, the ferry will have to return to the Yard at the next weekend when the Weser-route is routinely served only by one ferry instead of two. The woman which fell on the Ferry and was taken to the Bürgerpark-Hospital was released after receiving medical treatment. The "Taccola" resumed its dreding work between buoys 47 to 49 on the river and seemed to have suffered only little damage.
