Wheelhouse crushed in collision
On March 20, 2018, at 6,50 a.m. the "Delos", 2662 ts (EU-No.: 02332709), coming from Rees, was in collision with the "Ventura", 620 ts (EU-No.: 06002676), on the Rhine near Xanten at river km 832. The wheelhouse and the cabin of the smaller ship was severely damaged, the master and his wife were injured. A rescue heliopter was deployed take them to hospital with head injuries and shock. The passing ship traffic was not hampered. The police launch "WSP 13" (MMSI: 211665560)and the "Milan" (MMSI: 211633920) of the river authority went alongside the "Delos" for investigations. Work to secure the severely damaged "Ventura" was going on.
