Truck toppled over on car deck
A truck toppled over on the car deck of the 'Tunu Pratama Jaya' amid high waves during the crossing of the Bali Strait on July 22, 2023. The ferry had sailed from the Ketapang port at 9.55 p.m. WITA and encountered a swell of approximately four meters height. In pois. 08 09'221″ S 114 25′ 432″ E, the ship rocked violently, and a large truck overturned on the ship's rear car deck. The truck was loaded with tea with the destination of Denpasar. Also other trucks were affected and damaged. After the ship was safely docked, the trucks were removed. Collsion off Ketapang
In the waters of the Bali Strait, Banyuwangi, East Java, the KMP "Tunu Pratama Jaya 3888" was in collision with the KMP "Jalur Nusa" Line when entering Ketapang Port on May 31, 2019 at 7 a.m. The accident resulted in damage to the hull of the "Tunu Pratama Jaya 3888" which suffered a breach of 1,5 meters length. The accident happened close to the pier. There were no fatalities.
