Trawler disabled off Breskens
In the morning of Dec 19, 2019, the KNRM-boat 'Zeemanshoop' from Breskens assisted the disabled 'Deo Volente' which had encountered cooling water trouble off the port with ensuing engine failure. As the ship was threatened to drift aground,the master alerted the Dutch Coastguard. The lifeboat was lunached at 9.35 a.m. Another trawler had already been informed and also headed to the casualty to take it to port. The lifeboat remained on standby until the towing connection between the two trawlers was established and the 'Deo Volente' could be safely pulled to Breskens where it berthed in the fishing port at 1.40 p.m. Dutch report with photo: https://www.knrm.nl/nieuws/knrm-reddingstation-breskens/kotter-met-koelwaterproblemen
