Fishing vessel detained in Murmansk

The Russian Border Guards detained the 'Tavrichesky-M 0126' in the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation in the Barents Sea. Aviolation of fishing rules was detected on the vessel by ships and aircraft. During the control and verification activities, the crew of the 'Tavrichesky' did not obey the demands of the Border Guards. Fire in Murmansk

On Oct 27, 2020, at 8.10 p.m. Mosvow time the 'Tavrichesky' caught fire while being under repair in Murmansk port at berth No. 9 of the Murmansk shipyard on Podgornaya street. the fire occurred during welding work on the ship. The crew of three was evacuated, there were no casualties. Two cabins and a workshop on a total area of ​​30 square meters were on fire. It was extinguished at midnight. The transport prosecuutor sent inspectors to investigate the cause of the fire.
