Woman fell to death
On Dec 21, 2024, a 48-year-old woman lost her life aboard the "Sky Princess". She fell onto the deck of the ship while trying to jump overboard, while the ship was heading towards Florida. The crew immediately intervened to provide emergency care, but despite their efforts, she could not be resuscitated. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the event.
Medevac off Alicante
On May 14, 2024, a passenger of the 'Sky Princess', en route from Marseille to Gibraltar, needed to be medevaced 44 kilometers southeast of Alicante. The man had to be disembarked due to a heart attack. The CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 203, which hoisted the patient and took him and his wife to the Alicante airport.
Medevac off Santander
On May 10, 2023, the 'Sky Princess', which was sailing near Santander en route from Bilbao to A Coruna, diverted towards the port and requested the medevac of a 65-year-old man with chest pain. The CCS Santander of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the SAR boat 'Salvamar Deneb', which embarked the patient and transferred him to the port, accompanied by two other people, for hospital care.
