The "Bay Ranger" on Jan 3, 2011, established contact to two missing sailors aboard the yacht "Carefree IV". They made radio contact at 4:26 p.m. The 31-foot sloop was approximately 150 nautical miles southeast of Bermuda. They told the master of the "Bay Ranger" they were safe and well but were tired and needed provisions. The "Bay Ranger" provided water and other goods so the boat could continue their journey back to Bermuda. After the transfer of provisions the "Bay Ranger" continued on her voyage from Houston, Texas, USA to Cadiz, Spain.
