No reliable source to confirm alleged attack on Russian ships
There was a report of the Russian boarder guard that allegedly two Russian ships came under fire in the Sea of Azov on Feb 24, 2022. One of the crew members is said to have suffered serious injuries. This was announced by the department of the Russian border guard service in the Krasnodar region. "On February 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the waters of the Sea of Azov, the Russian civilian cargo ships SGV-Flot and Seraphim Sarovsky came under rocket fire from the Ukrainian armed forces," the agency said. The fire was launched from Mariupol, acccording to the border service, and damaged the 'SGV-Flot'. A fire broke out on board the vessel, as a result of which one of the crew members was seriously injured. The fire has been extinguished and the two ships have moved on. It was reported that border patrol boats from the Russian domestic secret service FSB have already been sent to the scene of the incident to evacuate the wounded sailor and provide assistance. As the report only relied on the Russian source, it cannot be confirmed whether this is mere propaganda of Russia or if there is any truth with it.

The St. Petersburg ship "Kizhi" was coming with 3760 tons of road salt from Lithuania to the port of Brake on April, 15. There, the officials noted that the load line mark of the ship was below the waterline and thus obviously had too much cargo on board. The review on board found that the Kizhi was overloaded with 67 tons. The Maritime Safety Division sets against the 50-year-old Russian captain a security in the amount of the expected fine of 800 €.
