Fire on trawler in Botnhamn
In the night of Dec 26, 2019, a fire broke out aboard the 'Segla' at the dock in Botnhamn. There were no persons on board. The Troms Police and fire crews from Finnsnes were alerted after a passersby remarked the fire at 9 p.m. Smoke divers of the Botnhamn Fire and Rescue started extinguishing the blaze and cooling the ship's interior down. The fire probably started on the factory deck near a grinding machine and was put out before spreading further. The rooms were then ventilated.
Disabled trawler towed to Tromsø
On March 26, 2019, the "Segla" suffered an engine failure in the Tromsøy Sound. The NSSR-lifeboat "Dagfinn Paust" took the disabled trawler in tow with assistance of the lifeboat "Oscar Tybring IV".
