Diana Shipping announces time charter contract for m/v San Francisco with Koch
Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, has entered into a time charter contract with Koch Shipping Pte. Ltd., Singapore, for one of its Newcastlemax dry bulk vessels, the m/v San Francisco, the company said in its release. The gross charter rate is US$16,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum nineteen (19) months to about twenty-two (22) months. The “San Francisco” is a 208,006 dwt Newcastlemax dry bulk vessel built in 2017.
Diana Shipping finds charter for newbuild newcastlemax
Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has chartered out a 208,500 dwt newcastlemax to Singapore’s Koch Shipping. The 12-16 month time charter is expected to commence on January 6, 2017 and is at a rate of $11,750 per day less commissions. The vessel, which is to be named SAN FRANCSICO, will generate $4.23m for Diana Shipping over the minimum scheduled time charter period. source: Splash 24/7
