Two lifeboats were launched after a the "Leah" broke down in the Pentland Firth between Caithness and Orkney with its crew of 10 on Nov 27, 2015. The ship which was enroute from Rotterdam to Straumsvik got into difficulty one mile NE of Stroma at about 07:45 a.m. when the anchors failed to hold it against the tide and it started drifting. The ship lost one of its anchors as it attempted to steady the ship in rough seas. The sea conditions were challenging with 2-3m swell, a force six north-westerly wind and heavy showers. The "Leah"'s crew managed to restart the engines and resume their journey to Straumsvik in Iceland.
