Crewmember died after being electrocuted
A 45-year-old member of the crew of the "Orient Queen II" died on Sep 11, 2012, after being electrocuted in Cypriot waters. He was airlifted to Paphos General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) received a call at 2.30 p.m. from the cruise ship, saying the Lebanese crew member had been electrocuted. The man had previous health problems. The ship was on the Beirut-Rhodes route and was 33 nautical miles north-west of Akamas in Paphos.
