Olympic subsea vessel wins contract on renewables project

Tue May 03 09:35:38 CEST 2016 arnekiel

Norway’s Olympic Shipping has fixed its subsea support and construction vessel Olympic Delta to an unnamed “international” client to work on a renewable energy project. The value of the contract was not disclosed. Olympic Delta will start work in August for a fixed period of 120 days, plus a further 80 days or more if extension options are exercised. “For many years we have focused on offering our environmental friendly operations also within the renewable energy market. We have had a number of vessels employed in this segment and this contract confirms that the Olympic fleet of vessels is attractive in several markets,” said Stig Remøy, Olympic’s president and CEO, in a release today. Separately, Technip has extended its charter of Olympic’s ROV support vessel Olympic Challenger by a further two months until October this year. http://splash247.com/olympic-subsea-vessel-wins-contract-renewables-project/
