Detention in Bartin
On March 18, 2025, the 'Ocean Force' was detained in Bartin with seven deficiencies. 1) Structural conditions - Hull damage inpairing seaworthiness Holed 2) Safety of navigation - Voyage or passage plan Missing 3) Safety of navigation - Echo sounder Inoperative 4) Water/Weathertight - Railing, gangway, walkway and means for safe passage Not as required 5) Pollution Prevention - Crew training and familiarization Lack of familiarization 6) Pollution Prevention - Ballast Water Record book Not as required 7) ISM - Ism certificate Not as required The vessel was released again on March 21 and proceeded to Navodari, where it arrived on March 25. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063576908591
Fire in superstructure soon contained
On Mar 17, 2015, at 8.30 p.m. a fire erupted in the superstructure of the "Bright Spark" at the Freycinet Quay 8 in Dunkirk. There was significant smoke development which justified the alert of many rescue and fire services, including a specialized ship fire fighting team. After a reconnaissance was carried out in the corridors of the ship, the fire proved t o be harmless. The fire at the exhaust manifold was quickly extinguished by the port fire teams. No injuries were reported. Some units of the firefighters were still pm scene at 10.30 p.m. to secure the ship and to ensure that there was no more risk of the fire lighting up again. In the early morning of Apr 8, 2011, after having departed from Kalundborg, The "Amstelgracht" was in danger of running aground in the waters off Asnæs. The water depth was 8,1 metres, the draught 8,4 metres. Storebælt Vessel Traffic Service warned the ship of the impending danger, and the Dutch ship was able to alter course in time.
