Fishing vessel towed to Roses

The 'Nova Cala Montjoi' with four crew members on board went adrift 17 nautical miles east of Roses after it got the fishing gear entangled in the propeller on Jan 10, 2023. The MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Barcelona mobilized the 'Salvamar Cástor' to the scene which pulled the vessel to Roses.

On March 16, 2020, the ‘Nova Cala Montjoi‘ (MMSI: 224097160) suffered an engine failure and was disabled seven miles off the port of Roses with a crew of four on board. The CCS Barcelona deployed the SAR-boat ‘Salvamar Cástor‘ (MMSI: 224007650) to assist which took the casualty in tow and safely pulled it into the port of Roses. Fishing vessel with rudder trouble

On Aug 7, 2019, the "Nova Cala Montjoi" suffered a broken rudder off the Port de Roses in the Gulf of Lion. The crew of four requested Salvamento Marítimo for assistance which deployed the "Salvamar Castor" (MMSI: 224007650) of the local rescue station to assist. It took the casualty in tow and safely pulled it back into its homeport.
