Arrest for fake declaration
The 'Lady Maria' has been arrested by the Harbour Master at Famagusta on Feb 25, 2020, due to a fake declaration of vessel's main particulars such as name, IMO no and flag etc. The departure permission along with any kind of cargo operation has been cancelled. Subsequently, the Harbour Master office has requested a written declaration from the vessel owners and the master regarding the fake certification. The vessel remained stationary and still under arrest at Famagusta on March 6.
Detention in Volos
On Dec 2, 2019, the Volos Port Authority detained the 'Lady Maria' in the port following an inspection carried out by officials of the the inspection department of the Central Port Authority of Volos because serious safety deficiencies were identified on board the ship, and procedures for imposing the sanctions were initiated. The ship had come from from Lebanon to Volos with a crew of 13 Syrian and Egyptians on board to unload a cargo of scrap. Its next stop was Larymna. The ship was detained until the deficiencies were remedied, and an administrative fine was imposed on the master. Ships got entangled in each other
In the Kerch Strait, the "Lady Maria" suffered damaged to its propeller after getting caught in the anchor chain of the "Azov Concord" near anchorage 471, during maneuvering to change the anchorage on Nov 30, 2018, at 12:27 a.m. The starboard side anchor chain got hooked with a propeller of the "Azov Concord". The "Lady Maria" sustained damages to its propeller. She arrived in Mariupol on Dec 7.
