June 26 13: Reportedly four crew kidnapped from PSV MDPL Continental One by Nigerian pirates on June 13, are freed and already in Lagos, no other details available.

Offshore Tug Supply Ship MDPL Continental One was attacked by Nigerian pirates early in the morning June 13 13, reported shiptalk.com. Shiptalk warned that the reports are unconfirmed, but regretfully, such news usually come true. According to the reports, two fiber glass boats sneaked to the vessel unnoticed, and pirates took crew unawares. They robbed vessel and crew of valuables, and took 4 hostages with them – Captain, Chief Engineer, Chief Officer and Bosun. Reportedly, Chief Engineer is Polish, other three including Master are Indians. At the time of an accident vessel was in OFON oil field area, some 30 nautical miles off Nigerian coast. OFON oil field is situated halfway between Bioko Island Equatorial Guinea, and Opobo river estuary, Bight of Bonny. Vessel is presently docked in Onne, the rest of the crew unharmed.
