Enroute from Hamina to Rotterdam the "Rebecca Rousing" allided with the Southern chammber of the Brunsbüttel locks of the Kiel Canal during storm Herwart on Oct 29, 2017, at 7.10 a.m. The ship was allowed to continue the westbound voyage around 11 a.m.
Grounding off Skive
The "Rebecca Rousing" ran aground while entering Skive on July 22, 2017, around 5 p.m. 200 meters off the port. The ship turned too late and got stuck in the mud. There was a very low water level at that time with a water depth of four meters remaining with a shps's draught of 3,6 meters. After refloating attempts by the port tug "Krabbe" failed, owner Carsten Rousing on July 23 at 8.30 a.m. called the tug "Nadir" (IMO: 7401277) from Thyborøn, which arrived in port on July 23 at 3 p.m. and managed to pull the freighter off within half an hour. There was no apparent damage due to the soft bottom at the grounding site, and the ship docked in port. The "Rebecca Rousing" had come from Stenungsund with 1,500 tonnes of shear. She left the port again on July 24, bound to Wismar.
