100-tonne crane worth $3 million dropped at Fremantle Port accident (video)

A $3 million, 100 tonne crane was accidentally dropped into the hold of a cargo ship during loading at the port of Fremantle. Amateur video distributed by the International Transport Workers’ Federation shows the crane falling into the vessel Stevns Trader on Monday. The union says the crane wasn’t being operated by properly trained stevedores. One seafarer reported minor injuries, the union said. Tweendecker allided with mole and ran aground

The "Princess Mary" has run aground in Fremantle in the morning of Feb 21, 2013, morning after hitting the North Mole. The ship lost power about 4.30 a.m. and nudged into the construction. It has been anchored one kilometer off the shore near the South Mole for inspections by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority after the allision.
