Sun Feb 15 13:17:01 CET 2015 Timsen

On Feb 14, 2015 at 5:30 p.m., the "Manootche" requested the assistance of the CROSS Gris-Nez after a crew member of about twenty years suffered a head injury. The ship was was within the traffic separation scheme Calais about 23 nautical miles off the coast of Le Touquet. Immediately, the Gris-Nez organized a conference call with the Navy Medical Consultation Center (MMCC) in Toulouse and the UAS maritime medical coordination (SCMM) Le Havre after which a medevac by helicopter to the hospital in Boulogne was recommended. The Gris-Nez dispatched a Dauphin helicopter of the Navy Base in Le Touquet. It arrived on Scene at 6:50 p.m., after having taken on board a medical team of the Service Mobile Emergency and Intensive Care (MUG) in Boulogne sur Mer. The patient was transferred on board the Dolphin and delivered at the Hospital in Boulogne at 7:30 p.m.
