Ferry grounded off Brimse
The "Lysefjord" ran aground on Feb 17, 2016, at the west side of Brimse. The "Lysefjord" was about to reverse into the dock at Brimse, when it was caught by a wind gust and got stuck. The JRCC Southern Norway was notified at 10:18, a.m. The "Vektaren" and emergency services, including ambulance and a Sea King rescue helicopter, were dispatched to the ferry. The "Lysefjord" had a crew of four and two passengers on board. Also the lifeboat "Emmy Dyvi" and the patrol boat "Bergen" and a fire boat proceeded to Rennesøy around 11 a.m. At 11.30 a.m. the "Lysefjord" is was refloated and towed to Stavanger for surveys.
