Grounding off Kepez
On March 20, 2025, the 'Kolin 2' ran aground in front of the Kepez Port in the Çanakkale Strait. The ship was successfully refloated and berthed with tug assistance, before being examined by a diver team under the coordination of the Çanakkale Ship Traffic Services Center. Grounding in Dardanelles, vessel refloated
the Turkish tank m/v "Kolin 2", 992 gt (IMO: 8622517), ran aground near the Cape of Dalyan in the Dardanelles on July 17 at 1 p.m. while entering Çanakkale. On July 18 at 3.10 p.m. the vessel was refloated with the help of tugs. The ship had been enroute from Bozcaada to Kepez with a cargo of 1300 tons liquid waste and a crew of five.
