Steering gear failure in Jagoh
On June 22, 2021, the KMP 'Paray' suffered a technical failure at Port Jagoh in the Lingga Regency. The vessel was sidelined, and its steering gear needed to be repaired before it could resume its operations.
Ferry on fire
The "Paray", 162 gt (IMO: 8827129) caught fire at Jagoh port, Linnga Archipelago, on May 30, 2018, upon arrival from Penarik at 5 p.m. All passengers had just disembarked at the Jago Lingga port, so none of them was injured. There were 50 people, two cars and 18 motorcycles on board. At 5:45 p.m., ship technicians had worked on the repair of damaged light dynamos. At 6:10 p.m., one of the crew saw the fire in the upper passenger saloon. At 6.50 p.m. a fire engine arrived at the port, and the fire could finally be extinguished. The ferry service Linga - Jagoh - Singkep was interrupted for an uncertain time.
