Medevac in Breskens
The KNRM lifeboat of the station Breskens medevaced an injured fisherman from the "Cornelia" in the evening of Aug 7, 2014. He had got a heavy chain on his shoulder. An ambulance is called and was quickly on the spot. However, with the low water in the port of Breskens it was difficult to get the injured up onto the quay, so the ambulance staff called for the help of the lifeboat. The "Zeemanshoop" was moored alongside the trawler, and crewmen lowered the injured fisherman carefully onto the lifeboat. The boat then rushed to the pontoon of the KNRM where the man was delivered to the ambulance on a stretcher and taken to hospital.
