Crew member medevaced in critical condition
The US Coast Guard medevaced a crew member off the 'Jag Arnav' on Jan 20, 2022, near Pointe a la Hache, Louisiana. Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a call at approximately 10 a.m. stating the man was unresponsive due to unknown circumstances aboard the bulk carrier en route from Baton Rouge to Plaquemines Parish Prot. The watchstanders coordinated the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew. The helicopter crew arrived at the scene at approximately 11 a.m., hoisted the crewmember and transferred him to Plaquemines Medical Center in Port Sulphur in critical condition. Pump failure off Casquettes TSS
The "Jag Arnav", en route from Gdynia to Jeddah with 24 crew members on board, suffered a failure of its main engine fuel pump, a high pressure pipe, in position 50 06 35 N, 002 49 57 W, about three miles north of the Casquettes traffic separation scheme (TSS), in the morning of March 17, 2019. The vessel was carrying 65977 tonnes of wheat. The CROSS Jobourg informed the Solent Coastguard that the bulkcarrier was leaving the TSS to conduct repair works. The "Jag Arnav" in turn informed the Solent Coastguard at 04.45 a.m. After the repair works were completed, the vessel resumed its voyage at 6 a.m. with an ETA as of March 30.
