Engine failure off Fedje
On Jan 9, 2020, around 1.45 p.m., the 'Hav Nordic', which had sailed from Rotterdam on Jan 6, suffered an engine failure west of Fedje and requested assistance. The NSSR deployed the lifeboats 'Jebsen II' and 'Utvær' from Bergen and Mongstad to assist. The ship was pulled into the port of Sløvåg with the boat from Mongstad at 5.30 p.m.
Grounding off Skagen
On May 10, 2019, at 6.30 a.m. the "Hav Nordic", which had sailed from Antwerp on April 30, ran aground at Skagen. The ship refloated itself with own force and berthed at the Sildemels Quay at 7.40 a.m. It was detained by the Defense Command and the Danish Maritime Authority upon arrival at port for inspections and surveys. She sailed again on May 11 at 1 a.m. bound to Wallhamn, Sweden, where it arrived at 6.30 p.m. the same day.
Reefer adrift off Icleand
The Icleandic Coast Guard vessel "Thor" took the "Haukur" in tow towards Hafnarfjarðar five nautical miles south of Dyrhólaey after the ship was disabled on Apr 1, 2015, off Hornafirði and went adrift in rough seas. The reefer had sailed from Reydarfjarðar on Mar 31. After the "Thor"'s Crew was able establish a towing connection on Apr 3 at 2 p.m. the arrival was estimated to be on Apr 4 around noon.
