Azimuth thruster trouble off Montrose
The 'Glomar Worker' suffered a damage to the starboard azimuth thruster 25 miles east of Montrose in position 56 40 45.0 N, 001 46 31.2 W, with 35 crew members on board on June 19, 2021, at noon. The vessel was unable to carry out the ROV work and instead headed to Montrose for repairs where it arrived at 6.20 p.m. On June 20 at 6.20 p.m. the ship sailed again, bound for the Seagreen OWF.
OSV Bourbon Arethuse Attacked by Pirates Off Nigeria
Offshore supply vessel Bourbon Arethuse, belonging to French company Bourbon, was attacked by pirates on Tuesday night, offshore Nigeria, IMB Piracy Reporting Centre informed. Pirates boarded the OSV which was on standby duties on the Usari field, Nigeria. “Seeing the pirates the crew raised the alarm, retreated into the citadel, alerted other vessels and shore based office by VHF and waited until the pirates had left,” IMB PRC report says. No one was hurt in the attack and all crew members are safe, as an after attack investigation showed.
