Medevac in Baltic Sea

On Sep 4 a crew meber of the "Globia" suffered cardiac problems while the ship was underway from Vejle to Klaipeda, ETA Sep 6. The patient was medevaced by a Danish SAR helicopter at 7.23 p.m. and transported to the Riget Hospital in Copenhagen.

More damage than expected

The damage caused by the allision of the "Globia" with the on Guldborgsund Brige on Jan 19 is about 210,000 Danish crowns according to the Guldborgsund Municipality First as there has been extensive damage to the tower's concrete structure. The Guldborgsund municipality has accordingly contacted the owner and broker with claims for compensation. In addition, the captain paid a fine of 10,000, because he reported the accident only three hours after the allision.

Globia allided with Guldborg Bridge

The "Globia" allided with the Guldborgsund Bridge in the evening of Jan 19, 2012, while being inward bound from Aarhus to Nykøbing. There was no major damage to the ship or bridge. The ship was detained in Nykøbing by the Danish authorities after the accident was reported in the morning of Jan 20. It may only leave after repairs were carried out.
