In the middle of the night, a first boat with nearly sixty people on board began to sink off the coast of Grand Fort Philippe, before the 'Esvagt Charlie' could join it. Several means were deployed rescue the shipwrecked people. 62 people were rescued, including one person who could not be resuscitated. The searches were suspended at the beginning of the afternoon without finding any other people adrift. Two people were believed to be missing. At the end of the night, a second boat of migrants requested assistance off the coast of Boulogne-sur-mer. The CROSS engaged the 'Abeille Normandie' which rescues 33 people before dropping them off at the port of Boulogne, where they were taken care of by land emergency services just before dawn. In the mid-morning, the 'Apollo Moon' was engaged to assist a boat in difficulty off the coast of Gravelines, and rescued 21 people. Several people were still present on board the boat but refused the assistance offered by French means. Given the risks incurred by migrants in the event of restrictive actions to force them to board State rescue resources such as falling overboard, thermal shock, various trauma, the choice was made to let them continue their road.
