Scrap ship without permission to enter port
The FSOP 'Fluminense', which was supposed to call at Frederikshavn on Aug 23, 2024, to be scrapped at the MARS, is currently being towed around the Kattegat by three tugs, as the permission to call at the port has not been obtained. Negotiations were underway between the municipality, which owns the port, and MARS about the conditions for the ship to call at the port. Thevessel is the largest to date scrapped in Frederikshavn.
