229 kilos cocaine seized in drug raid
The Spanish Civil Guard, in collaboration with the Customs Surveillance Service, seized 229 kilos of cocaine on Dec 15, 2024, on the 'Energy Glory' after it had arrived at the outer port of A Coruña on Dec 14. The substance was distributed in eight bales on the ship that was carrying a cargo of flour from Aratu. The drugs were found in the stern cooling system and would have been worth 7.7 million euros on the market. The investigation is still open and, for the moment, there were no arrests among the Filipino crew.
